Summer practicum in AI reskilling

CUA SPARK

An intensive Summer 2026 program for CUA faculty and staff who want to build a working AI tool or workflow for a real teaching, research, or administrative problem.

Build AI tools around real CUA work

SPARK brings faculty and staff together across disciplines and units to learn from instructors, peers, and hands-on prototype work.

Open to faculty and staff

No prior programming experience or technical background is required. Applicants bring a course, research project, or administrative task they want to improve.

Team applications encouraged

Interdisciplinary teams of two or more people, especially teams crossing departments or units, are encouraged to apply.

Prototype by the final session

Participants refine a tool through peer critique and coaching, write a one-page Tool Guide, and prepare for the fall AI SPARK Symposium.
